Housekeeping Manager

Galaxy Employment is assisting Housekeeping Managers in the Hospitality industry in Las Vegas, NV and connecting them with the biggest employers around the world.

Responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company rules, in accordance with accepted principals of hotel cleanliness and infection control.  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise in-house services, such as laundries, maintenance and repair, dry cleaning, or valet services.
  • Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces.
  • Advise managers, desk clerks, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
  • Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

  • Plan and prepare employee work schedules.
  • Related occupations
  • Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the departments supervised.
  • Related occupations
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.

  • Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.

  • Issue supplies and equipment to workers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 + years customer service experience
  • 2 + years management experience
  • Working knowledge of hospitality field and cleaning/sanitization

Working Conditions:

  • Be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, carry items 75% or more of the work day.
  • Be subject to weather elements when working outside, to include heat, rain, wind, etc.
  • Lift 20-30 lbs.
